I cannot remember what I wanted to be when I was growing up. Life has sent me on a journey full of obstacles that have shaped who I am. Some of my challenges have knocked me all the way down to the starting line. Shakira says, "Sometimes we run but we never arrive," and "life doesn't always happen the way you dream it."
New dreams do not come easy. Learning how to fly again after breaking a wing takes fortitude, resilience, and optimism. Hard work doesn't always equal success, but it does always make us better. I truly believe the best is always ahead of us. Sometimes life hurts you for no reason, but you still have to laugh and love with your whole heart.
I know that after the storm, the sun comes out. It always does.
